Hi,

I'm using the Xj3D VRML loader the load a VRML-Szene to Java3D. In my
case it's a face containing 7 different child nodes like nose, lips,
etc. CosmoWorlds let me have a view on it without problems. But when
loading it in Java3D, the VRML-node in the scenegraph has tons of link
nodes. I need to to go down 23 layers to have access to a Shape3d
(like nose, etc). In-between the structure "BranchGroup - Link -
SharedGroup - Branchgroup" is repeated several times. Is this
behaviour normal or is there a way to simplify this.

Regards,
André

Your problem is solved with the Sun VRML Loaders.

When the Yumetech.com Xj3d Fail,

try the reliable Sun VRML Loaders for Java3d.

Use whichever suits your needs best.

With the Sun VRML Loaders you can animate
Web3d.org's VRML based H-Anim Avatars
in a browser without certificates
or additional installs beyound a current
Java & Java3d libraries.

Yes, don't use the flawed Yumetech Loaders.

Use the Sun VRML Loaders for better results.

The scenegraph is simpler,
just as it should be, just like what you want.

Sun VRML / Xj3d Loader Loads your VRML Face Correctly
