TclDB provides a common API for accessing different DBs, that is doing
simple queries and executing commands. These APIs require Itcl 3.
I also plan to create some Tk widgets (using Itk and/or Iwidgets).
Currently, a result table (based on Tktable) is available.
I encourage everyone to test it, since I plan to continue developing
such a package.
ps. I "stole" license.terms from tcl distro, so it's BSD :-)

Well, I focused on using some more advanced features like statements
from tclodbc and wrote 'queryset' class which loads all queries from a
separate file and (if it's possible) chooses the best ones for current
DB - this way it is possible to use the same app with different queries.
Also, I want to focus on Tk and GUI stuff...
What's wrong with the name DIO?!
(D)atabase (I)nterface (O)bjects
PERL has DBI, and no one seems to think that's silly.
Hrmph. I stand by the name.

Yeah - Imagine going to a client and announcing that you are going to
install 'god' on their server to talk to the database! Tcl's good,
but... :-)
In America, it means Ronnie James Dio. Who is a God to some, fearfully.
We could rename it 'Holy Diver'.
Nah, forget it. It's lost. 0-]
By the by, I pronounec it D-I-O, not Dee-Oh. 0-]
