The latest version at SourceForge is 1.6 (no minor version nr.).

Is the ActiveTcl included package based on a newer source version?
If so, does ActiveState intend to share the modified (improved) sources
somewhere?

I suggest you check the sources already available at SF more
carefully.

OK:

At https://sourceforge.net/projects/tls/files/

I see as the latest source distro:

tls1.6-src.tar.gz 168.0 KB 2008-03-20

No mention whatsoever of 1.6.1

Do I need to look somewhere else?
Or did I miss some corner of the site?

Erik.
