Thanks to Arjen Markus for his weekly summary of Wiki action:
Summer holidays are almost over, as is the summer it seems
in your chronicler's part of the world. Time for a summary
instead!

People in general
- So how did _you_ find out about Tcl/Tk? This page tells
a few such stories: <http://wiki.tcl.tk/15972>

- If you can read Russian, you will probably enjoy the
links in this page - <http://wiki.tcl.tk/9188>

- Check out this learning tool, akin by design to Smalltalk ...
<http://wiki.tcl.tk/17395>

- Should you be able to read French and you want to know what
applications use Tcl/Tk, just follow the links in
<http://wfr.tcl.tk/1261>. One of these products is in the
field of engineering and physical modelling - <http://wfr.tcl.tk/1661>

For the gourmets only
- There has been talk about reforming the evaluation engine
of Tcl, <http://wiki.tcl.tk/20114>, and it has actually been
done. As a consequence we now can use co-routines
<http://wiki.tcl.tk/3449>.

- Summer or autumn, the past season has borne fruit: a Tcl
extension to the Linux kernel "fuse". While your humble
chronicler has no idea what that is, check it yourself -
<http://wiki.tcl.tk/13853>

Miscellany
- A French watch or is that an "horloge"? Anyway, it requires Tk
to do more than just rectangular windows, but isn't it fun?
<http://wfr.tcl.tk/1638>

- A palette of buttons to invoke useful functions ... it should
not take up too much space. So let it float! <http://wiki.tcl.tk/13340>

- Fitting rectangles of varying sizes on a canvas - is it tough to do?
<http://wiki.tcl.tk/21437> gives one possible approach.

- It's a wonderful hashlife, this algorithm. Quite fit for a weekend
of fun, despite its Wikipedia reputation. <http://wiki.tcl.tk/21374>

Everything Tcl-related you want is probably one or two clicks away in these
pages:
The "Welcome to comp.lang.tcl" message by Andreas Kupries

Larry Virden maintains a comp.lang.tcl FAQ launcher.

The Tcl Developer Xchange is a highly organized resource center
of documents and software with provisions for individuals to
maintain references to their own software:

The TDX sponsor, ActiveState, also keeps info to convince your
boss Tcl is a good thing

The Tcl'ers Wiki is a huge, dynamic, collaboratively edited repository
of documentation, examples, tutorials and pontifications on all things

It already aggregates quite a bit of Tcl intelligence.

Cameron Laird tracks several Tcl/Tk references of interest (but
needs to validate many of the links).

Years ago, Cetus Links maintained a Tcl/Tk page with verified links

"Yahoo! Groups" archives comp.lang.tcl.announce posts--even
though clta itself is dormant.

We're working on more useful archives of past installments. In the
meantime, an alternative is

Note that the list on the French site is not actually of applications
written in Tcl but rather a list of those that spawn a tcl
interpreter.
