Hi

We have just upgraded from Expect and TCL 8.0 (Solaris 2.6) to Expect and
TCL 8.3 (Solaris 8) and a faster platform. Most of the Expect scripts work
OK but 10% of them hang due to what might be buffering or timing issues. I
have tried using set_slow on different settings (set_slow was previously not
needed at all) and get slightly different buffering or timing issues (I
think that's what they are) but the hanging returns intermittently.
Match_max also seems to affect the results without fixing them.

Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Did you upgrade expect as well? That sounds vaguely like a bug that
might have been fixed. 5.37.2 is the latest, which you will also find
in ActiveTcl.
