Get the Script line during evaluation

To anyone could help,
When we evaluate a script file, is it sending the whole script to a
buffer then into parsing process and lastly evaluate them line by
line? Can I get the line number during this process? Cause I still need
to pass the line number to windows to hightlight that running command.
How can I do it? Do I need to change the standard source code?
