There used to be this great package on the WWW called webthing that
allowed one to accumulate info like FAQs, allowed users to enter
input about each question, allowed to search the database of info, etc.
However, the author is temporarily off the net and the software was
not written in tcl. It would be nice to find a Tcl program that I could
use which would allow at least the following features:
o organize the various Tcl/Tk documents for browsing, searching, and downloading
o allow users to apply personal, group, or public annotations (like personal
bookmarks, application to any point in the documents), regardless of
their web browser.
o allow a moderator to easily gather public annotations to update the
documents.
o allow usenet articles (such as go to comp.lang.tcl.announce) to be
dropped into a database.
o it would be 'cute' to support tclets.
Yes, certainly I could write such a thing. I would rather however
use something already developed so that my time could continue toapply
to the FAQs.
o support discussions.
