Software page:
http://web.mac.com/jay_reynolds_freeman/iWeb/My/Software.html
The software page includes a link to a web-browsable copy of the
Wraith Scheme Help file, and a more specific link to the part of
that file that discusses parallel processing.
Wraith Scheme 1.36 is a bug-fixer for its predecessor, which
incorporates a fix to the platform-dependent bug that I mentioned
on comp.lang.scheme a few days ago. You won't need 1.36 if
you do not see that bug in 1.35.
Barring major bug-fixes or other unexpected circumstances,
Wraith Scheme 1.36 will be the last version of Wraith Scheme
that runs on MacOS 10.4 (Tiger) and will also be the last
version that runs on any PowerPC-based Macintosh.
There is also a version of Wraith Scheme that is a 64-bit
application and requires MacOS 10.6 (SnowLeopard), and will
therefore only run on Macintoshes with Intel processors.
I am aware that it is possible to make 64-bit Macintosh
applications that run on PowerPC processors, but it
takes a G5 PowerPC to run them. I do not own a G5, and so could
not test such an application, and therefore do not propose to
write and release one.

This link is incorrect, and actually leads to the same above-mentioned
Web site when clicked. The correct link follows:

What a pity! My PowerBook is PowerPC-based, and currently is running
Mac OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard).
According to your above "Software" Web site,
>To run Wraith Scheme 1.36 you need a Macintosh that is running at least
>Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger). Wraith Scheme 1.36 should run equally well on
>Macintoshes with Intel processors and Macintoshes with PowerPC processors.
Accordingly, can my Macintosh run Wraith Scheme 1.36 (I'm at work
right now, and cannot test it at the moment)?
