In the opening paragraphs of this paper, there's a tantalizing set of
sentences:

"The development of the compiler is described in detail in an extended
tutorial. Supporting material for the tutorial such as an automated
testing facility coupled with a comprehensive test suite are provided
with the tutorial."

It may just be that my Google-fu is weak, but I can't find any of the
supporting material anywhere. Was it given only to the workshop
attendees in 2006, and sworn to secrecy since? Or is it actually
available?

The article on lambda the ultimate [1] contains a dead link to Ghuloum's
page [2] on Indiana University.

Anyways, just ask archive.org:

Hope that helps

PS: According to Marco Maggi [3]:
"[Ikarus] is the creation of Abdulaziz Ghuloum, which retired from
deveoping it in early 2010."

That helps immensely. I never think of the Wayback Machine. Thank
you!
