I've got a job for YARV, but it seems that I have to wait until ruby
anon cvs is back up for me to get a working verison of ruby/YARV on my
machine (due to the specific version of 1.9 that YARV requires).

Is there another way? How long until anon cvs is back?

Hey Nobu,

This is what I get when I try to login to cvs (taken from the
instructions on the cvs guide on ruby-lang
http://www.ruby-lang.org/en/20020106.html):

$ cvs -d :pserver:anon...@cvs.ruby-lang.org:/src login
Logging in to :pserver:anon...@cvs.ruby-lang.org:2401/src
CVS password:
cvs [login aborted]: connect to
cvs.ruby-lang.org(210.163.138.100):2401 failed: Connection refused

Whoops, just realized that you meant 'use cvsup instead'. Gotcha.

Not cvs, cvsup.
http://cvs.ruby-lang.org/cvsup/

And snapshot tarballs are available now.

Anyone interested in getting YARV working with ruby via cvsup, email
me. It's not for the faint of heart. And it's not really _that_ bad
either. I can just save you some time.
