I read about Ruby 2. What' s the state of that? I didn' t find anything detailed. Can I throw away my current scripts when Ruby 2 gets released?

1.9 is the current state of that, I think. And most of your scripts
will run fine, though there may be some small changes to be made. From
what I can tell Matz is pretty hard nosed about backward
compatibilites.

I certainly hope that backward compatibility issues will not hurt the
progress and improvement of the Ruby language.
