I've had a similar environment in the past, with IBM Object REXX and
Zonealarm, and never encountered that problem.#
Does vsmon.exe eventually recover from its burst of hyperactivity?
There's quite a separation between an incoming HTTP request (which
would excite ZA) and your REXX executing. What webserver are you
running?
You could craft a really simple .bat file as a CGI (I'm presuming
Windows, because of ZoneAlarm) to see if that also gets vsmon.exe
worked up. I probably have one lying around if you need a sample.
