Where may I download Rexx for Windows XP? What should I read to learn
it?

Which Rexx? OOREXX? REGINA? Other?

If you already know Rexx, read the documentation. If you don't know Rexx,
first[1] try "Rexx in 21 days" by the Schindlers.

[1] If it's not in print and you can't find a used copy, there are
other books available.

You might find Howard Fosdick rexxinfo site a good place to begin

Start exploring here: http://www.rexxla.org

Select "Links" at the top of the page and you'll find
pointers to lots of Rexx implementations and documentation.

Personally, I use ooRexx because of it's OLE support that
allows me to manipulate Excel worksheets. ooRexx fully
supports Classic Rexx, so all my experience with Rexx on
VM/CMS translates directly over (other than i/o, of
course). The THE editor nicely replaces Xedit, so this
dinosaur became almost immediately productive using a pc. See:

If I knew that I wouldn't be asking!

I'll put it on my list. Groan.

Don't groan! Rexx isn't hard to learn! Start with Ian
Collier's Rexx page within the Links that I gave you
earlier in this thread, and see how easy it is.

If you'd give us some insight as to why/what you want it
for, someone would likely provide some guidance as to what
one to choose. Go beyond your immediate need to what you
might like to use it for in the future.
