This was apparently discussed somewhere a few years ago, and then abandoned. I would be interested in a port of prolog to iOS, but haven't done any iOS development, and don't have time to do it. It should be possible -- maybe not easy -- to port one of the c based prolongs.
I will note that at this time there are at least the following languages available through the App Store:
Gambit REPL -- an easy to use Scheme development environment based on the Gambit scheme system.
Pixie scheme -- another scheme REPL
Raskell -- an iOS Haskell interpreter with an editor inspired by VI, based on an extended Hugs version of Haskell
Pythonista -- a full featured Python development environment with support for graphic interface on iOS for applications developed and run within the pythonista system.
CODEA -- a complete game development system using the Lua language.
There may be others. These are the ones I have installed on my iPad (and some on my iPod touch).
Seems like the excuse that the App Store rules are too restrictive doesn't apply.
I'm not sure how much help I could be, but I'd be interested in hearing if anyone is interested in undertaking this.
