Starting with Acrobat 8, a special command of Acrodist-F run from the
command line was needed to let Distiller read and write host files.

I just moved Acrobat 9 to Windows 8 and it does not accept the command
line of start Acrodist-F.

It is of utmost importance that I can continue to use PostScript to read
and write host files.

Adobe help goes round and round without being useful.

Help!
