Could the provider of these stats be persuaded to show the
start and finish dates in the body of the article, not just
the date of posting in the header? Like as not someone will
look the stats up in the archive and wonder when they were
for.

Is that really seen as a breach of netiquette? I'm not
talking about the '5+ groups' part or the '3+ posts' part,
but the action of crossposting to PHP groups without setting
followups. The crossposts in question are usually to
c.l.php, a.php, and a.c.l.php, which cover the same topic,
if I'm not mistaken. If a thread is originally crossposted
to all three, or to just two, what's the point in
redirecting the discussion to only one?
And why '5+ groups'? Why not '4+ groups' (meaning, I
suppose, four or more groups)?
