The following site systems roles uninstall and reinstall when .NET is upgraded. During site update, site component manager removes the role, and then updates .NET. If a restart is required, it sends status message 4979. After restart, site component manager reinstalls the role with the new .NET version. The role could be unavailable while it waits for you to restart the server.

In MEMCM/SCCM, a boundary is a network location on the intranet that can contain one or more devices that you want to manage. Boundaries can be an IP subnet, Active Directory site name, IPv6 Prefix, or an IP address range, and the hierarchy can include any combination of these boundary types. To use a boundary, you must add the boundary to one or more boundary groups. Boundary groups are collections of boundaries. By using boundary groups, clients on the intranet can find an assigned site and locate content when they have to install software, such as applications, software updates, and operating system images.
A boundary does not enable clients to be managed at the network location. To manage a client, the boundary must be a member of a boundary group. Simple Boundaries on do nothing, they must be added to one or more boundary groups in order to work.
Before you update to version 2107, if you restrict internet access, confirm that the site system that hosts the service connection point role can communicate with the following internet endpoint: configmgrbits.azureedge.net. This endpoint was already required, but its use is expanded in this release. The site system can't download version 2107 or later unless your network allows traffic to this URL.
Just thought i would add that im seeing problems with this if you are deploying autodesk software to Your machines. As you can see from the links below you will actually have to make sure to uninstall the redistributable from the machine before running the installation of Autocad.
Until now, we did not deliver .NET Core updates automatically via Microsoft Update. This was because of earlier customer feedback around potentially breaking apps. This feedback was centered around .NET Framework major/minor feature updates (for example going from 4.5 to 4.8) which installed in-place rather than side-by-side with earlier versions.
An application package will be created for each Visual C++ Redistributable with properties including Name, Description, Publisher, App Version, Information URL, Privacy URL, Notes, Logo, Install command, Uninstall command, Install behavior, Operating system architecture, Minimum operating system, and Detection rules.
If the client was not installed with the ServiceLocation parameter, when you first open one of the Office applications that use the Azure Information Protection bar (for example, Word), you must confirm any prompts to update the registry for this first-time use. Service discovery is used to populate the registry keys.
You should avoid deleting any files within C:\Windows\Installer. The common need to do this is to alleviate storage pressures because over time, after installing many applications, its storage capacity can be relatively large on thinly provisioned storage. Instead of deleting the files or the whole folder itself to regain storage space, it is recommended to uninstall unneeded applications.
SQL Server Setup provides the ability to generate a configuration file based upon the system default and run-time inputs. You can use the configuration file to deploy SQL Server throughout the enterprise with the same configuration. You can also standardize manual installations throughout the enterprise, by creating a batch file that launches Setup.exe.
