It starts shipping at the beginning of March.
For more information, call Borland's German Customer Service:
phone: 0180-5354556
fax: 0180-5354553
You can also order Delphi there, as far as I know.
(Note, these are German numbers, i.e. +49-180-535455x
for international calls.)

Whatever you do, don't ask Borland in Germany, they probably won't know.

That's nonsense, they DO know.
In Germany, Delphi is 199 DM (that's about 135 $US).
That's the CD-ROM version, of course. Call 'em at
their free 0130 number.

Wait a minute. We've heard on this group that Delphi's introductory price
is USD199 in the US, UKP199 in the UK, and DM199 in Germany. Has Borland
decided to keep the same numeric value, regardless of the currency? If
so, perhaps I should order my copy from Moscow...

No, that price is without printed manuals. With printed manuals it's
DM 299 (> $200). And they are taking orders.

To be exact, for 299 DM you get the floppy disk version + printed manuals.

: ciao, Ralf

I talked to someone at the CeBIT about the date of shipping. She said,
Delphi was shipping till 17.2.1995. Then I asked her why my update from
Turbo Pascal hasn't been delivered yet. (As I ordered I was told
Delphi would ship in Germany this week 13.3.-20.3.). She told me
something about different dates for marketing and delivery and so on...
Currently I am still waiting and hoping....

Eberhard

PS: I hope Borland will change its marketing. All I got from Borland about
Delphi yet is a postcard saying it is the revolution for Windows programming
but giving no further details. I ordered it only because of the informations
given here in this newsgroup. This is not what Borland should do considering
there current situation.

In The Netherlands, first shipment have arrived. It seems however that Delphi
is selling so well (much better than expected) that they are running out of
stock rapidly.

I ordered it on March 3. They said I should have it in about 2 weeks so
I'm hoping to have it any day now...
