Improving the intrinsic math libraries has been on the "to do" list for gnu
pascal for several years. Is there any prospect of action on this? Fortran
is growing more and
more complicated, and a simpler language may be better for small
math problems. It is my understanding that gnu pascal already supports
separate compilation and variable-dimension arrays, which are essential for
scientific programming. Reliable floating-point operations are the
remaining essential.
