I've got a couple programming ideas in mind. One for a commercial product
already out on the market (Thats doin a complete overhaul) and a few smaller
apps of personal use.
For my commercial product, I was thinking of getting it to go with an
interface of which I create under Delphi, AND a web paged based app.
The web portion I can understand and do... so long its on itself. Problem
I'm finding with trying to wrap my brain around is how to get the Delphi app
(With using standard components, such as tedit, tlabel, etc) to work with
the data store and objects.
Would I have to develop the database, one series of objects for the web, and
another series of objects for the Delphi app?
How would I get the Delphi app to talk to the server?
Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.
There was an article in Dr. Dobb's Journal of January 2003 about
the use of state machines in user interfaces. I've mentioned it
here before; it was IMO excellent and offered profound possibilities.
The big idea I gleaned from it was to separate UI functions much
farther then is usually done.

I did a search for Dr. Dobb's Journal and found quite a bit of advertising
to get magazines. Great, no probs, thats not an issue with me (bad pun).
Thing is, after quickly scanning the "BUY" sections of all the sites, I saw
specifically that there were no Canadian orders. And unfortunately (for
this situation) I am in Canada. :/
Any other bits of info?
