A Scanner breaks its input into tokens using a delimiter pattern, which by default matches whitespace. The resulting tokens may then be converted into values of different types using the various next methods. For example, this code allows a user to read a number from System.in: Scanner sc = new Scanner(System.in); int i = sc.nextInt(); As another example, this code allows long types to be assigned from entries in a file myNumbers: Scanner sc = new Scanner(new File("myNumbers")); while (sc.hasNextLong()) long aLong = sc.nextLong(); The scanner can also use delimiters other than whitespace. This example reads several items in from a string: String input = "1 fish 2 fish red fish blue fish"; Scanner s = new Scanner(input).useDelimiter("\\s*fish\\s*"); System.out.println(s.nextInt()); System.out.println(s.nextInt()); System.out.println(s.next()); System.out.println(s.next()); s.close(); prints the following output: 1 2 red blue The same output can be generated with this code, which uses a regular expression to parse all four tokens at once: String input = "1 fish 2 fish red fish blue fish"; Scanner s = new Scanner(input); s.findInLine("(\\d+) fish (\\d+) fish (\\w+) fish (\\w+)"); MatchResult result = s.match(); for (int i=1; i

As for how to manage the contacts once you input them with the scanner, we can edit them once they're in and change properties and add them to lists. It may not be super fluid on mobile, but I've used the app to change properties. For example, if you plan ahead of time you could create an active list where the criteria is "added these dates by this user" so that anyone you add during an event gets put into a list. Then this list could trigger the workflow. Hopefully that helps spark an idea or two for you.

Hi Dan - your insights are very helpful! I'm in a boat similar to Melissa's and I think the way you set up an active list to pull anyone who has been imported via offline->business-card-scanner is great. I followed all of your steps and the problem is that this only works for a contact that has never been entered into the system (i.e. their true original source is from the business card). Occasionally we have sales reps going to meetups or events and talking with people for the first time, but it's not the first time they've ever been in contact with our business. As in, they may have visited our website in the past, attended a webinar, or even chatted with someone else, so they exist in the system. When we use the business card scanner app, and if a contact already exists, the business card scanner forces a merge. Once the merge happens, there is no trace of the business card scan being an original source. Do you have any ideas for how we can still capture leads/contact info from reps at events that may already exist in our system? Is there another way to pull the business-card-scanner property into a list other than Original Source?

Reliable and free network scanner to analyze LAN. The program shows all network devices, gives you access to shared folders, provides remote control of computers (via RDP and Radmin), and can even remotely switch computers off. It is easy to use and runs as a portable edition. It should be the first choice for every network admin.

The Go!SCAN 3D scanner comes with VXelements, which powers our entire suite of 3D scanning and measurement technologies. It combines all the essential tools you need from data acquisition to CAD Software, in a user-friendly, simplified and sleek working environment.

When you connect a scanner to your device or add a new scanner to your home network, you can usually start scanning pictures and documents right away. If your scanner doesn't automatically install, here's some help to get things working.

In most cases, all you have to do to set up a scanner is to connect it to your device. Plug the USB cable from your scanner into an available USB port on your device, and turn the scanner on. If that doesn't work, here's a way to do it manually.

If your scanner is turned on and connected to the network, Windows should find it automatically. Available scanners can include all scanners on a network, such as Bluetooth and wireless scanners or scanners that are plugged into another device and shared on the network. Here's a way to do it manually.

If you use wireless access points, extenders or multiple wireless routers with separate SSIDs, you'll need to ensure that you're connected to the same network as the scanner for your PC to find and install it.

If your scanner is included in a multifunction or All-In-One printer, you may only see the name of your printer. To see your scanner, under Printers & scanners, select your installed printer, select Manage, and then choose your scanner.

1- Compatibility.

You are sure that the scanner, its accessories and software program will work together as expected. Some of our programs' features and our hardware accessories only work with the scanners that we sell (we cannot adapt them to all existing models).

2- Technical Assistance.

In case you have difficulties installing or using it, it is easy for us to help you since we know and use the scanners that we sell. Note that we only provide technical assistance for image acquisition for scanners that we sell.

3- Calibration for precise measurements.

Scanners are made mainly for artistic applications. We calibrate our scanners with precise standards. This calibration is automatically used by our programs to compensate for differences among scanners so that data produced by different models will give similar results (when you ask a scanner to scan at 400 dpi it might scan at 392 or 408, this is what our calibration compensates for). Our calibration also compensate for differences when using a given scanner under different conditions such as when measuring an object at various orientation on its scan area (the dpi in the head movement direction is often different than from the light direction).

4- Reliability and image quality.

You get a scanner that is well adapted (fast, precise and reliable) for long term repetitive scientific measurements.

Our scanners do not exhibit the shadow problems for seeds, needles and root scanning.

5- Accessories for faster and easier scanning. Our positioning system with trays allows to repetitively place and scan needles, seeds or roots. The clasical scanner "Preview" step is bypassed, which saves lot of time. It also comes with a color contrasting background for color analysis and scanner cover raisers to scan thick objects (like roots in trays). There are also optional accessories for ring analysis on wood cores. Accessories can easily be removed and installed by the user in a few seconds.

6- Additional instruction manual and video tutorial. They teach how to install and utilise the scanner and our accessories and how to scan biological samples for analysis with our programs. They help you get the best images from our scanners and will save you time by giving some tips about the scanner that you have purchased. Note that the video tutorial is for WinRHIZO and WinSEEDLE only at this time.

The optional Audio and KeyKode Reader lets you capture high quality audio along with KeyKode information from the film. The reader features a magnetic audio head or deep red LED illumination with advanced optics, electro formed slits, and precision mechanical adjustments for azimuth, zenith and yaw to give you the best possible audio capture with incredible high frequency response. The reader also features a precision capstan and encoder that allows for automatic correction of wow and flutter, allowing you to accurately capture audio, even when the scanner speed changes! The KeyKode Reader provides you with unique identification numbers for each film frame so they can be easily correlated with the corresponding video timecode. Installation is easy and all you need to do is bolt the reader onto the front of the chassis and it will automatically be detected.

Using the Cintel Scanner is easy and intuitive. You get scanner control software that includes everything you need to transfer and capture films to Ultra HD or HD files. Scanned files can be opened with DaVinci Resolve for further color, restoration and mastering work. You can learn more about how to set up your Cintel Scanner by downloading the user guide here.

Do you need to deploy your scanner in a brightly lit hall? Our advanced methods for ambient light suppression provide superior quality of scans even in demanding light conditions of up to 20 000 LUX.

Thanks to its low weight of less than 1.5 kg, the PhoXi 3D Scanner can be mounted directly onto the robotic arm - a very handy option if you need to scan a big bin with a smaller scanner from variable viewpoints, or to get a detailed look at the bin corners.

The Lynx offers a wide range of applications and is particularly useful for scanning larger objects. During my testing, I conducted baseline scans without the use of sprays, tape, or any physical assistance in the scanning process.

Overall, I was highly impressed with the Lynx scanner. the Lynx performs similarly to the Mole, except for its superior scanning distance and wider focal length. Personally, I appreciate the option of using the Lynx to capture the entire object and complementing it with the Mole for capturing finer details. I encountered no issues with auto alignments when utilizing different scanners.
