You may use theoretically _any_ language for GOFAI, even
http://mind.sourceforge.net/cobol.html -- old-fashioned COBOL.

What you need for AI is a good, introductory AI textbook, such as
http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/~russell/aima.html -- "Modern Approach."

If you really want to "start programming" an AI Mind, you may need
http://www.iuniverse.com/bookstore/book_detail.asp?isbn=0595259227 or
http://search.barnesandnoble.com/bookSearch/isbnInquiry.asp?ISBN=0595259227 .

http://mind.sourceforge.net/lisp.html has _many_ purposes, not just AI.

> What about C or C++, are there AI implementation use these langauges?

http://mind.sourceforge.net/c.html is for AI Minds in C.
http://mind.sourceforge.net/cpp.html is about C++ AI Minds.

Hopes this helps, and leads to AI4U books left around via BookCrossing.

Isn't there a language called Befudge that could be used? :-)
