Hi,

I am currently working on a school project which would require
me to call Matlab computational function from within java
application.

Does anyone know how this could be done?

Have a look at the Matlab website. Find the "education" site and you can
navigate to the documents section and you may find something there - all
are nice pdf downloads for your viewing pleasure (sorry don't have the
URL)

Please state what functionality you need exactly, e.g. waht Matlab
functions do you want to call.

I think calling matlab from java will become a real pain in the ass,
if you get it to work at all. Some matlab routines are available in
Java though.

There is a free library called JMatLink that does what you want.
