I'm looking for a java charting library that will enable me to
programmatically update the chart by adding and removing line graphs
and adding new data to the graphs, similar to NT's Performance
Monitor. Any opions?

You could try Lotus eSuite, which has an excellent charting component. I've
used it a fair bit. Its easy (requiring minimal programming) to have it
automatically update using Infobus support.

You will want the esuite devpack, which has some good examples of charts
connecting to databases etc.

Try the KL Group's jClass Chart Components. Ridiculously easy to do the simple
stuff, and yet extremely flexible to allow the complex stuff.
