Volunteering for Scheme language standardization working groups ***deadline January 8***

The Scheme Language Steering Committee solicits volunteers who are
willing to serve on working groups 1 and/or 2. Volunteers should:
* be prepared to serve for the duration named in the group's charter
charter for working group 1:

* believe in the value of standardization
* accept the goals and limitations of the working group's charter
* support the goal of sharing Scheme code effectively

To volunteer for one or both of the working groups, send email to
steering-comm...@scheme-reports.org
with the following information:
your name
your email address
the working group(s) for which you are volunteering
a statement explaining who you are and why and how you
believe you would contribute to the success of the
working group
Please send your email by 8 January 2010.

Oh. So after a million lines of flaming the Schemers quietly concede the
tiny little minimalist raison d'etre of the language was, um, a mistake?
Let's see....

Yep. The neat thing is they are standardizing more than CL! I wonder if
that is where they are drawing the line...

Oh, my. I smell "most-positive-working-group". Does this mean....
"The names of the languages to be developed by working groups 1 and 2

suggested by the working groups."
Yep.
Well, Common Scheme would be too humiliating and raise a rather large
and obvious question. ("Can't you just crawl off and die?".) That leaves
Big Bang Scheme and Commune Scheme.
Y'all know my vote.

Misery loves company. I.e., since CL is dead, Kenny-boy wants to kill
Scheme.
