It's about the 'purity' of program code, I read in the article.
Fortran of course has had 'pure' procedures for decades now, so
we do not need any of this Twist stuff! Also, having our parallel
coarrays is completely adequate for even the most complicated many-
worlds quantum states of entangled systems.
But then again, they can always try, of course...
