I find it curious that I very rarely see any posts created on a saturday or
sunday.
As an Australian, I get to see the Monday dawn a lot earlier than most; and
there are, as usual, no new posts. (There were some casino spam [my]
Saturday).
Fortran is now more of a hobby for me, than a source of income (I still DO
get programming work), so the evidence that most contributors are posting
from the workplace (even if working from home) still surprises me.

There's life in the old dogs yet. Just like Fortran itself.

Hardly - I CAN'T post from work since I am too disabled to drive to any
job and have not found any other way of getting there on a regular
basis.

I'm often too busy reporting spam, though - about 3000 spam posts to
go for this newsgroup, before I start going through the list again.

Just because there are fewer posts on Saturdays and Sundays doesn't
automatically mean that most people are posting from work.

It could, instead, mean that most of the interesting topics to post
about are coming from work, and the people who find them don't want
to wait until the weekend to post about them.
