Does anyone have any experience with this free compiler? If you do, could you
please share your thoughts. Thank you.

I was going to say that the name didn't sound familliar, but I did a
quick google search (on force and fortran) and got some hints. From
about 30 seconds of reading, the first thing that pops out at me is
that the name is slightly misleading. It appears that what this
actually is is a Windows ide (integrated development environment) that
includes the g77 compiler. So if I'm reading correctly, the actual
compiler is just g77, but "force" adds an ide on top of g77.

A reasonably large number of people here use g77. I've not used it
more than a token amount myself, so I'll leave most of the comments to
others. But it does seem worth noting the apparent connection between
force and g77.

To repeat, I'm basing this solely on about 30 seconds of reading, which
could have mislead me.

I used it a few months back for a 1000+ line legacy program. Worked well.
A
simple way to use g77 in Windows.
