I would like to hear some stories of actual working forth apps.

Many here have been asked nonstop by me for working websites in forth I can log into but never any answer.

So what about non web?

I worked on several of these applications:
http://www.forth.com/resources/apps/index.html

I designed the database for a computer system that is used in
establishing the valuations of municipal bonds in California.

I was a project manager for the team that developed the control system
for the King Khaled International Airport at Ryadh, Saudi Arabia, a
system that involved a network of over 500 computers controlling most
aspects of the airport (power distribution, runway lights, security
system, fuel farm, water wells, etc.).

I have worked on several classified projects for the US Government.

I was on the design team for the platform-independent "smart card"
terminal software system developed by European MasterCard.

There were a lot of smaller projects that I no longer remember.

Cheers,
Elizabeth

No. FORTH, Inc. specializes in embedded, instrumentation, and control
systems. This is a large and fruitful field that is a good match both to
our engineers' capabilities and to Forth.

Why do you want to know? A question like that attracts salespeople
like honey attracts flies.

Gavino --- quit asking all these dumb questions about what Forth could
do (or, on comp.lang.lisp, what Lisp could do). Just write a program!
That is the only way that Forth or Lisp or any other language can do
anything --- somebody has to put their fingers on the keyboard and
write a program.
