[NOTICE] newsgroup comp.lang.eiffel candidate for deletion

Due to low amount of substantive traffic, as judged by the number of
replies and non-crossposted and non-duplicated articles, this
newsgroup has been marked as a candidate of deletion as part of the
USENET cleanup project.

A vote on the newsgroup deletion R.F.C., to be held soon will
determine the status of this newsgroup, with a cryptographically
signed advisory to be released in the condition of the newsgroup
sustenance vote fails.

I get the feeling that the number of readers of this newsgroup has
diminished to the point of non-existance. It's a shame, because the
original ideas of the language are wonderful, it's just not managed to make
it into the mainstream.

A double yes from me.
I care and yes the readers are almost non-existance.

But from time to time you find people who want start with Eiffel
again,
which shows that there is interest. Just the current state of the
compilers
and more important libraries is so terrible worse.

Taking this away is bad. Especially that you expect a correct overview
of
computer languages when you browse comp.lang.*

No real reason to suspend the group really even if there are only a few
posts a month, so what it is still a useful resource and once its gone its
gone, no real reason to get rid of it really.

There are lots of useless UseNet groups with no posts at all, why not get
rid of them and leave comp.lang groups alone.

Yery likely. There are newsgroups with even less traffic that
have not gotten any of this. Clever fake, but that is all.
