CHANGES
- improved interoperability with other ORBs
- Interface repository added
- NameService (s. demo/banking/step3b) added
- many changes in the orb core to handle inheritance correctly
- idl2eif is now called eifidl because it can do more than just
compiling IDL specifications
(see chapter 5 in the manual for details)
- imr control programm (we do not have an implementation repository yet,
but you can test it with the original MICO daemon)
- The names of all classes in the library ADT have
been given a prefix ADT_ to avoid name conflicts
with other libraries.
- The automatically generated *_narrow functions have
been greatly improved
- a lot of minor bugfixes
the mico/E team
Also, what is being done to get Eiffel recognised by the OMG as
a language for which the OMG should specify the mapping? I know about
the work that NICE does but surely the OMG is the official body that
documents language mappings. I know that they have been made aware
of the mapping used by MICO/E but perhaps this issue could be raised again?
Regards,
Andrew Marlow.

There are two mappings: one from Nash et al. and our mapping.
MICO is more complete than mico/E (object by value, POA ....) but we are
working on these things. Do you want to help us? ;-)

We do not plan to make our mapping official by the OMG (at the moment).
There are a lot of unsolved problems. And you need a "sponsor" to
register a mapping to the OMG.
All these topics are discussed at our homepage
