REQUIREMENTS:
Connecticut-based manufacturer presently using mainframe technology with
COBOL, MVS, IDMS, ADS/O and CAS is urgently seeking a seasoned Senior
Programmer Analyst to help them become Year 2000 compliant and begin
the conversion from the mainframe to Client Server technology to be done
over the next 24 months. This is a chance to work in a friendly, team-
base environment, with a company that is commutable from numerous
locations. The MIS Director is an enthusiastic mentor and coach who is
excited to bring the new client server technologies to this company.
This person will be a very important part of his team. The company
will also provide immediate training and exposure to Lotus Notes and
Client Server techology in Order Entry Applications. Training will be
provided on all new technologies.

Client seeks solid life-cycle development, maintenance and enhancement
experience with COBOL, MVS, IDMS and ADS/O. Any exposure to CAS, PC
software, Windows NT, Lotus Notes or Client Server technology is a plus.
Any business applications experience is acceptable, manufacturing is a
plus. Any experience as a database analyst is of special interest.
Serious candidates should be able to handle multiple projects, work
independently and in a team environment. They must have a demonstrated
track record of accomplishments and the ability to complete projects on
time within parameters. Excellent communications skills with users/
customers, management, team members, and peers is of extreme importance.
Client will offer relocation assistance. It will also consider part-time
employees.
