I have an old Clipper Summer 87 EXE where the source code has been lost.

I need to decompile it so that it can be checked for Y2K compliance.

What is the best product to purchase to achieve this with a small, Summer 87
program. Where can it be purchased from ?

Appreciate comments on any potential pitfalls in achieving the above

Thanks to those that reply

Your better choice is Valkyrie (http://www.terminal-impact.com). (works
great!)

I don't think Valkyrie works for Summer87. Should be Unclip or Noclip
Make a search in www.dejanews.com, you will find the URL easily (if it's
still exist)

VK certainly does work, just make sure you get the S'87 decompiler.

I beg to differ with you... Valkyrie *does* decompile S'87
executables. At the least the version I have does. Where it chokes is
trying to decompile .exe's linked with Blinker v3.x or higher.

Yes it does. A friend has it and we used an old 87 program that we had lost
the code for and it worked great! There are 2 versions, one for 87 and one
for 5.x. Buy the 5.x version and you get the 87 included.
