If they are still in business, SBT offered a complete line of
accounting software which used the DBF file structure.

I have developed a POS in Clipper 5.2d that uses dBase/Ntx files. It
supports multi-users, network record locking. It has been in use since 1990.
It has purchasing, receiving, serial numbers, A/P, A/R, invoicing, proposal
writer, service dept module with RMA, many reports including daily sales,
aging, customer transactions, inventory activity.
Accounts payable has check writting and printing feature.
It can generate sales orders from the contract module ready for invoicing.
Proposals and service orders can be copied to sales orders for invoicing.
SALES Plus is $395.00

You could try www.capitaloffice.com.au which has a downloadable
accounting suite. It's completely Windows based but uses DBF file
structures and is 100% Comix file/record lock compatible.

The only catch is it might be much more powerful than what your client
actually needs. Pricing information is also available at the site.
