In a rather complex application, it seems to me that little by little the
application works slower.
Is it possible that there may be some memory leak because I don't destroy
some objects that should be destroyed manually ?.
Is there any way to monitor the resources (memory and so on ) available and
to find the leak ?

Via the "System workset" of windows you can open a little programm which
shows you the available resources of your computer.
If you arrange your desktop in a way to open together (not overlapping) your
VO application and the "resource meter" you can monitor at which point of
your application the memory leak(s) is/are situated. I found out that by
not properly destoying Brushes and drawing objects f.i., the memory is eaten
up very fast.

Hi Hubert.
What is the 'System workset'?
Where can I find it, and what kind of application
is it (If it is an application)?

Just execute :

C:\WINDOWS\RSRCMTR.EXE
It's a Windows application that might not be installed on your system. If
not, add it using "Add Software" in the controlpanel - "Windows setup" and
look for "System Resource Meter"

Sorry, but I really do not find anything. I use WinNT4 (german, but that should
not make the difference), and when I go to the Windows-Setup I can't find a
'System Resource Meter' or a german equivalent.

Maybe the App You're talking about is on Win95/98 only, and it is the same as
the second tab of the WinNT Taskmanager (maybe 'processes'-tab in english version)?

Thanks
Frank
