I used the COMSDK for the creation of an Automation-Server Interface.

The documentation is a little out of sync.

Is there any updated Version available?

Where's the download location?

usenet,

Let me know where the doc's are out of sink and I will see if this can be
improved for a future version.

There have bin some minor changes in the COM-code and some bigger changes in
the trace and errorhandling code, the next version of the COMSDK will be
released when work on the source-code-generator tool is finished.

There will be a site, and it is not yet there ( we let you know ;-)

Frans.

I'll publish this, thus other users don't run into the same problems an loose time.

=> unspecified release date.

Could you *please* show a little responsibility against the users of your tools?

At least publish the known Bugfixes, e.g. in knowvo.com or an equivalent site.

I got some answers indirect in another thread.

Is a work in progress, completely written in VO and will be updated
for 2.7, Devcon Attendees already have a new version that support
creating COMServers with events.

I agree i's a lot of coding, but hey, we're coders :-) and we love it.

If you don't like the COMSDK, well that's your bad.

As VO2.6 ignores(!) the existence of Events in
Automation-Server-Interfaces.

Thus i use this 3rd-party product, COMSDK, which is included with the
distribution of VO2.6

I extract: yes, but it's limited to Devcon Attendees

> Where's the download location?

I extract: There is no download location. You have to attend Devcon,
to become the updated version.

Neither an download location, nor a supporting site is available.

This for a 'product', which is included in the official CAVO2.6 CD.

Is this the way to keep existent - and attract new - customers for
this product (VO)?

Creating a WIA Application:

Adding WIA Events:

The document refers to "SafeWia.Script" (change it to Wia.Script).

But i could not found any "xxx.Script" reference in the code i've
generated for my automation server

Ilias,

I've found that using the SafeWia.Script progid (from MS-doc) is the only
way to make it work 'reliable'. Do you have other experiences?

I don't know WIA / WIA.Script etc.

I wrote you my experience:

I follow your "WIA Tutorial" as a guide to create MyServer.

When coming to the events, i saw you're mentioning "SafeWia.Script".

And i try to change "SafeMyServer.Script => MyServer.Script".

So you may state at this point, that SafeWia.Script is WIA-Specific
and that this change will not be neccessary for *any* generated
automation-Server.
