I am using the record server as it is the only way I can easily do a
complex filter.
However I also want to filter those with a traditional filter.
Does anyone know the source well enough to be able to tell me how to do
this please?

AFAIK you can only have one filter at a time - like you can only have one
SCOPE set at a time.
I think you'll need to make your complex filter a bit more complex<g>

Oh dear - looks like a lot of code
So if using ordinary filter - append it
If using recordfilter - load up in an array and filter the list down
Better plan this properly then!

OK now done.
Added a filter field to the screen, this has a dispatch which sends the
search string into the browser screen, first time if record filter,
scans the lot within the filter and arrays the description, then wizzes
through these and changes the recordfilter - this works well.
Normal filter just changes the expression and refreshes.
Works very well
