Hi all,

upon request from others, I have added two new newsgroups on my
newsgroup server:

comp.lang.clipper.xsharp - english language X# discussions
de.comp.lang.xsharp - german language X# discussions

On this server, other than these are also available;

de.comp.lang.visual-objects - german language VO discussions
de.comp.lang.vulcan-net - german language Vulcan.NET discussions

Server: news2.meles.net
Login: newsuser
Password: voosp

Hallo Wolfgang,
Isn't it easier to focus all discussions content related in the newsgroups of xsharp?
Now the newsgroups are (again) distributed over more than one location, which implies I (for instance) have to check several locations...

Regards,
Otto

Robert said he works at tool to sync the ng with the web fora. As soon
as this is in place, using something like Agent it's hopefully again a
"one click" affair to get all posts from all places...

Robert should mirror at least the two X# newsgroups on his server also.

I had setup my newsserver initially to take over the "old" german
newsgroup, and added the other groups later.

Personally, I think it should not hurt to have a producer-independent
NG server.

And, after all, adding a new news server to your reader is a matter of
5 minutes, and your reader takes care of the rest.

Hi Otto,

Robert mirrors all four NGs from my server on his server.

Wolfgang

P.S. since the support for Debian Squeezy LTS is terminating with the
end of february, and version upgrades on virtual servers are not
possible, I will replace this server in the next months with a new one
(the IP address will change, the names will remain).
