Try changing from Crystal Reports to something without the overhead.
Try the PrintQuick{} class from VO25Lib

Mario,
Do you mean that the printer is not giving the process back to your program?
Is the setting 'Print direct to printer' off in the printer 'Advanced'
settings tab?

You also could speed some things up if you check if the right indexes are
present in your DBF's.
It is important that you index the linked fields of the different servers in
crystal.
Have you set crystal to 'Use indexes to increase speed'.

Personally I would suggest that you turn to Crystal 8.5. Some more settings
are present that will increase the speed. When I print an invoice from my
program with crystal (12 tables) it takes about 3 seconds.... And the
invoice is a heavy report!

Regards, Marc

Because a customer of mine had slow printing and when he disabled the Norton
anti-virus he was back to speed.
Also some printer run faster when EMF is the default printer spool setting.

Mario,

If the printer is not giving the process back to your program, the printer
is probably set to 'directly print to the printer'. You should set this to
'Queue/Spool print processes'. You can use EMF format for the spool format,
but it is not totally garanteed that the prints will look the same on the
printer as on your preview/screen because of some internal processing from
EMF to RAW when actually sending data to the printer. Raw format will
garantee that the print will be OK, but will be a little slower giving the
process back to your app than spooling to EMF.

Regards, Marc
