Hi all

I'm currently working with C5ee and have some questions about the other
versions:

Q1: How much is Clarion C6 supporting xml and xsl? (I won't make the step
with C55 anymore)
Q2: What about third party tools?
Q3: For a MS SQL backend server: Is it possible to switch off the usage of
that slow cursor technologie in C6? It isn't in C5ee.

Thanks
Daniel

1) Supporting it and more improvements coming.
2) Most 3rd party tools are following developments in C6. I am aware of
only two vendors that stated they'll wait until it is released. Some tools
are no longer needed in C6 (but you can still use them). You will have to
contact each vendor to their policy of C6 compliance and price (some have
already stated no charge to upgrade).
3) No idea what that is.

Daniel -

I suggest taking a look at our xmlFUSE product for all of your XML and XSL
needs in both C5.5 and C6. xmlFUSE is a complete wrapper around the
Microsoft XML 4.0 Toolkit and even includes the Microsoft SOAP 3.0 Toolkit
and Microsoft XML HTTP library. The code you write today is compatible with
both Clarion 5.5 and Clarion 6 without any changes... in addition, you will
be basing your work on an XML parser backed by the largest software company
in the world. It is extremely fast and reliable. We support our products
and will do our best to answer any questions you may have... I have
provided the link below for your convenience
