I have downloaded it, registered it, and tried to use it in a
report (as per their FAQ instructions), but it keeps crashing
my program with a "This program has performed an illegal..Blah Blah
Blah".

Can anyone offer some advice, feedback etc.
Thanks

Hello
I used to have similar problems with Barcode VBX demo version.
Mabrys Barcode VBX was so cheap so I decided to order it anyway.
That fixed my problem. I did not have any problems using the registered
Barcode VBX.
Best regards,
Martin
The only time when the VBX crashed is when we were using the
unregistered version and that was due to the unregistered version
message once we were using the registered version I had no problem,
The way I use it is just by setting the Prop:Text on the VBX
Following is a snippet of code I use
SetTarget(Report)
?Custom1{'Caption'} = Format(Box:BarCode,@N09)
?Custom1{'ForeColor'} = Color:Black

Yes, it is fully functional, however, the demo version
seems to have some kind of nag screen that is corrupting
our memory space when you try to use it. The full version
works fine.

Here's a reply I received to my question regarding the Mabry Barcode
Vbx:

It is fully functional, it just has an "annoy" screen. I tried this
and had exactly the same results. After contacting Mabry they
informed me that the annoy screen crashes CW. So, I went ahead and
bought the .vbx. Low and behold it worked great. Only one caveat:
With CW2.xxx it appears to leave files in your temp directory
everytime you "run" the control. I still have not had time to find
out why.

Hello Steve
The Mabry Demo GPF's whenever it tries to show the Mabry announcement
screen. I have purchased the real deal and it works great.
Curt Davenport
Don't forget to reset the target with
SETTARGET()
If you do not do this you could get unpredictable results like having the
text of the window (36% Completed) inside some control of the report.

Can anyone tell me if the sample Barcode Vbx available on the
Mabry Software Home page (www.mabry.com) is fully functional ?
I have downloaded it, registered it, and tried to use it in a
report (as per their FAQ instructions), but it keeps crashing
my program with a "This program has performed an illegal..Blah Blah

From what I gather, messages on the newsgroup suggest some of you
are successfully using this product.
Can anyone offer some advice, feedback etc.
