What is Halt: Disk Error

I changedd server to windows 2003 servers standart edition, and workstations
to Windows XP. Now i get error Halt: Disk Error when program is runing and i
press insert button in browse, not on running program.
Clarion4 legasy.

how to solve this problem.

There's a problem with the hard drive interface.
It could be the hard drive, hard drive controller or my personal belief,
something in Windows XP.

you say problem not in server but on workstation?
on workstation is Win98 and there is everything ok.
on others windowsxp.

Ok, when I see that problem (which I do see once and a while) it's always
had to do with a hard drive losing some kind of connectivity.

For instance, I've seen it when there is too much traffic on the PCI bus
(i.e. too many master drives in a computer).

You mean same machine.
Simple answer, I think that there might be problems with the disk controller
and some of the new OS's (XP and 2003).

Windows 2000 seems fine.

Actually I haven't had any problems with 2003 either, but the problem
doesn't come up very often.
