After major problems with my news service, I have not been able to
download any news for the past 36 hours, I have now gone this route.
Excuse me if I am repeating myself, but I have had a very positive
respons to my posting about Pastel, via direct e-mail , but I have not
seen any responses to my postings in the Clarion NewsGroup because of
the problems. If you feel something was important enough please repost
it to this thread. Thank You.
I have had queries about pricing in the USA.
Well the South African price for Pastel Partner 4 is about R 1250-00
(about $US 200-00)

I noticed on the Pastel List server that you are using Clarion. As
you are developing applications for Pastel as well as maybe other
applications, please keep in mind that Btrieve as well as the latest
Pervasive..SQL are distributed by Leading Edge Technologies. We also
distribute the Smithware Crystal Reports which is approximately 20%
faster than the standard Seagate Crystal Reports and comes with the
DDF Builder which is also a useful tool for creating DDF files. You

OK I now can see ALL Postings re: Pastel and
all others! I changed my News Server from news.saix.net to
tsnews.clarion.com
AND
as if by magic there they all are!
This has been very frustrating - not being able to download News!

OK I have been rapped over the knuckles for starting so many threads.
I only just got the message. Will try and restrict myself to one
Thread a week per subject!<g>
