No. The ABC Free Templates and Tools are not related to the
Tingroup/Castle/DAS free templates, except for the fact that their
ancestor (the WinAPI toolkit) was included as part of the Tintools
set.

The ABC Free Templates and Tools are better organized than the old
templates. The set contains many new templates, and some complete
re-writes. It does not contain any templates for the legacy templates
or C4/earlier versions of Clarion for Windows.

The ABC Free Templates and Tools set are updated about once a week, so
you may wish to download them on a regular basis.

Vince, First of all, Many thanks to you for being so generous and giving
of your time to develop these resources and offering them to the Clarion
community. I am using the Windows Shutdown that was included in the
Tintools collection in the latest version of Product Scope 32 Bookmarks -
Version 3.5

Also, there is now a handy download field and download button in the 3.5
version of Product Scope 32 Bookmarks that makes it very easy for
developers to download the latest freeware and demo versions of Clarion
add-on templates.

Vince, I should be releasing an updated Clarion Profile Exchange set of
data within the next day or two that will illustrate this new download
feature. This will include some of the most popular freeware available,
but the Clarion Profile Exchange was invented to feature Clarion third
party add-ons commercial versions. This latest version also includes ISO
4217 codes so you can represent your product price in any currency value.

So it has never been easier using Product Scope 32 Bookmarks and the
Clarion Profile Exchange set of data to log onto Clarion third party add-
ons for specific product information or to download the latest demo. Then
another local file field is included to keep track of where the
downloaded file is, and if an install program is included in the
downloaded file, you can easily launch the install program.

It only takes a Clarion (TopSpeed) third party developer's time to
develop the profiles, no charge to develop the files or VIEW the add-on
product information.

ALL Clarion (TopSpeed) third party developers who have released Clarion
third party add-on products (included in or similar to those in the
TopSpeed Accessories catalog) AND current Team TopSpeed members are
entitled to a FREE unlock code for a single license for the Unlimited
Editing Version. Just send an email to ps32...@encouragersoftware.com
and give me a Registration name - 40 characters or less. You DON'T have
to submit your profiles first to get this unlock code.

You are under NO obligation to get this FREE unlock code if you qualify.

Just email my company and ask for it. Third Party developers will NEED
this unlock code to use the Import/Export feature to prepare the
profiles for emailing to Encourager Software.

Vince,

thank you very much both for your effort, that is most appreciated, as
well as your answer to my question.
However, I am still not sure what exactly all that means, so let me
ask it even more precise:
Which templates do I have to download and register if I want to add
functionality of Tingroup/Castle/DAS, ABC Free and WinAPI templates to
an application?

Best regards, have a nice weekend

Mike, if you're talking about the Author Direct Shareware and the ABC
Free Templates, Vince Sorensen's company is at:
http://www.dlcwest.com/~sorev/topspeed/

However, if you download the Product Scope 32 Bookmarks, Version 3.5 and
a data file set called Clarion Profile Exchange, a lot of information for
Clarion (TopSpeed) add-on companies including download information for
their free templates and demos is available. Visit the Encourager
Software site for the program and data file set:
http://www.encouragersoftware.com/

It depends on which functions you wish to use. If you have
legacy-template programs, then the WinAPI set is the only option. If
you are using the ABC templates, then you need the ABC Free templates.

Vince,

it took some time, but now I think I got it.

Thanks
