Shot in the dark from the past .... Turbo Assembler (Borland)?
TASM = Turbo Assembler. Borland's assembler product.
MASM = M$ Assembler
You must have a .ASM file in your project.

You didn't say anything about your operating environment. One thing called
TASM was (is?) the name of an assembler that Borland made for the DOZE and
WINDOZE architecture...

Uh? are you sure? I think TASM (Turbo Assembler) was around long before
Windows. MS version Masm.

It's Borland's Turbo Assembler. It should either be in its own \TASM
directory or appear in \BCxx\BIN somewhere.
