Both are good exercises (except just /parsing/ is not useful in
itself), but are you sure that's close to what you'd do in that
domain?

Write code which generates C++ source code? Not that interesting,
IMHO, especially since TMP is so trendy.

Investigate more. I don't know anyone in that domain and never worked
there, so I don't know what they focus on. Could be almost anything.
