hi,
How do I use visual basic v6 to talk with a digital or video camera? I
know this has to deal with TWAIN driver. I'd done research on it. Izit the
only we can do it is to download some activex control (ocx or dll)

In article <3ddae9ad$1...@nntphost.cis.strath.ac.uk>, "Wei says...

I had a need to get images from a camera using Visual Basic. I found something
called the Kodak Image Scan Control. The Kodak Image Scan Control seemed to
work.

The code to fetch a picture from the scanner looks like this:

imgScnPicture.ShowSelectScanner ' Show list of available TWAIN devs
imgScnPicture.OpenScanner
imgScnPicture.StartScan
imgScnPicture.CloseScanner

The object is the ImgScan object.

The only problem is that I am not certain that C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\IMGSCAN.OCX is
a part of Visual Basic or part of another package that we have installed on the
school district's computers. I believe that the Kodak Image Scan Control is
part of Windows 98, however.

I hope that helps.
