This is the Intel 80386 Programmer's Reference Manual (1986).
The 421 page PDF is just over a Meg. It is formatted, linked,
bookmarked, and has page numbers added to the table of contents. If
you do download it, then all I ask is that you give me feedback on any
problems that you find in the document. I have a working copy in MS
Word format, and I can easily distill new PDF files from that.

Nice file. I actually have the original Intel book, but what drives me up
the wall are the numerous errors.
What I really need is a 386 manual which gets all bits of segment
descriptors right. My first check in your text showed that you fixed some
Intel errors, but introduced new once. On page 108, you claim that code
segments have bit 3 of the Type field unset, which is wrong.
Navigation would also be easier if the bookmarks are initially collapsed.

I din't review the technical content, I just fixed a few obvious
typos. If you can provide some detailed information on errors you see
(i.e. is X should be Y) then I would be happy to update and re-post the
document.
I'll have to check the Adobe Acrobat distiller docs to see if it has an
option to have the bookmarks initially collapsed.
Thanks for the feedback.

I noticed that every click on a bookmark keeps changing the view, and I
guess some people will find that irritating.
btw, to collapse bookmarks, just open the file in Acrobat Exchange,
collapse bookmarks, and click Save.

Acrobat V4.05A. You can download the reader from Adobe for free, or if
you get data book CDs from component suppliers then you can check to
see if 4.0 or later is on one of those CDs.

I don't know if I can do anything about this.
