Assuming you are using some Windows dual boot and a US keyboard on your Mac, how is the keyboard support right out of Dyalog not working for you?? I would have thought that the Mac US keyboard is a standard USB keyboard and plugging in a Logitech or Windows branded keyboard product should work fine. It does on my Mac mini.

Is the ampersand @ shift-2 on your keyboard?

Where can one buy a Logitech or Windows branded keyboard with keycap
markings for Dyalog APL?

The only keyboard I am aware of that one can buy today with APL keycap
markings is from Unicomp and it would be for APL2. Supposely Dyalog had
them available at one time but they do not seem be selling them anymore.

The other option is to obtain a set of APL key labels from Hooleon
<http://www.hooleon.com/collections/keyboard-emulation-
stickers/products/keyboards-stickers-emulations-apl>.

Note that this approach was also used by IBM with the 2741 terminal.

Have you tried http://www.dyalog.com/resources ? There's a link to a keyboard support file for Mac OS together with instructions on how to use it and how to install the APL385 font. It's still work in progress, but it should be a start.

Note that this URL will be changing in the not too distant future - so if it doesn't work, try starting at www.dyalog.com !

Dyalog is still selling APL keyboards .. we have them for UK, US and DK locales. Diagrams of the layout of the APL characters can be found at http://dfns.dyalog.com/n_keyboards.htm. If you're interested, please drop sa...@dyalog.com a note for further information.

Just for the records, this looks like a good source of information,
thanks to Andy and Bakul! I don't use the Mac directly, so it will take
a little time to see if they work for others.

I had a similar question which led me to look at comp.lang.apl and to
read through this thread.

I am looking for a keyboard with non-traditional characters (not APL
though) and it occurred to me that there may be an Android app for a
tablet that could be loaded with my custom character set. There are any
number of wireless keyboard/remote-control apps but I've seen nothing
quite right for my purpose.

Perhaps someone here has seen such a thing?
