Workstation APL2 2.0 Service Level 20

The IBM APL Products and Services team is pleased to announce Service Level 20 for Workstation APL2 for Multiplatforms Version 2.0. This new service level is available for all Workstation APL2 platforms including AIX, Linux, Sun Solaris, and Windows.
Highlights of this service level include:
The AP 145 print services are modified to handle the lack of a Printer button on the Page Setup dialog in Windows Vista and later Windows systems. The SELECT_PRINTER function now invokes the Printer Setup dialog, and a new function PAGE_SETUP provides access to the Page Setup dialog.
The SCANDIR external function provides directory listings without the use of an operating system shell environment.
The -pw invocation option sets the default print width.
The memory requirements of Processor 12 are reduced for write operations on type A files.
The restriction on the size of nested array output for dyadic format by specification is changed from 255 characters per element to 32767 characters per element.
The DUMPERR workspace is saved on SYSTEM ERROR with CLEAR WS, in addition to when an operating system exception occurs.
Service Level 20 is available through the Support option at the APL2 home page to customers with a Software Maintenance contract.
